Star Wars: Escape from Mos Shuuta

It is a period of unrest and opportunity in the galaxy. The Galactic Empire struggles to maintain control in the midst of civil war. Meanwhile, scoundrels and smugglers, explorers and expatriates, and fringers of all types scramble for a living on the edges of galactic civilization. It is a hard life, but these renegades have more freedom and opportunity than any citizen of the Core Worlds.

At the start of 2018 I finally decided to run my Edge of the Empire Beginner Box that I bought a couple years back but didn’t have the interest of my friends to run it. LRC to the rescue! Over 5 sessions, we explored the world of Star Wars through the published scenario Escape From Mos Shuuta and the follow on scenario, The Long Arm of the Hutt.

This adventure took them from the dry and dusty town of Mos Shuuta on Tatooine to the Ryll mines of Ryloth and back as they sought escape from Teemo the Hutt. There was duplicity, threats of humanoid trafficing and slavery, and all sorts of other routes explored before the group returned once more to Mos Shuuta to face Teemo and the Hutt’s tyranny once and for all.

On final defeat of Teemo, as a final mic drop for the scenario, I explained that a representative of Jabba showed up and shared with the players Jabba’s thanks for removing Teemo from Jabba’s conciderations, that representative was none other than Boba Fett.

That was, in my opinion, a great way to end the scenario!
